Wedding Day Tips: What We’re Doing to Stay Stress-Free

As our big day approaches, Alycia and I (Jevan) have been doing our best to stay calm, focused, and stress-free. We know that planning a wedding can get overwhelming, but we’ve learned a few tricks along the way to make sure we stay relaxed and enjoy every moment. We wanted to share some of our tips with you, so you can take a deep breath and enjoy your own wedding journey too!

1. Start Early (But Not Too Early)

One of the best decisions we made was starting our wedding planning early, but we made sure to pace ourselves. Trying to plan everything at once can lead to unnecessary stress. We gave ourselves plenty of time to think through the details without feeling rushed, but we also knew when to stop and take a break.

2. Delegate and Trust Our Team

We have an amazing group of family, friends, and professionals supporting us. We’ve been careful to delegate tasks to those we trust and let them handle things without micromanaging. It’s all about teamwork—having people we can count on to take care of the little things has been a huge relief!

3. Keep Communication Clear

When planning a wedding, there’s a lot of information to keep track of. We made sure to keep clear and open communication between each other, our families, and vendors. This helps avoid confusion and last-minute stress, so everyone is on the same page.

4. Remember to Take Breaks

Planning a wedding can get busy, but we’ve learned to set aside time for ourselves. Whether it’s going for a walk, enjoying a meal together, or simply relaxing, taking breaks has kept us grounded and energized throughout the planning process.

5. Focus on What Really Matters

At the end of the day, the most important thing is that we’re marrying each other. While it’s easy to get caught up in the little details, we’ve kept reminding ourselves to focus on the bigger picture: celebrating our love, surrounded by the people we care about.

6. Practice Self-Care

Leading up to the wedding, we’ve been making sure to prioritize our well-being. Getting enough sleep, eating well, staying active, and staying hydrated all help us stay focused and calm. A little self-care goes a long way when you’re juggling all the wedding prep!

7. Embrace the Unexpected

Things may not go exactly as planned, and that’s okay! We’ve learned to roll with the punches and embrace the surprises along the way. Whether it’s a last-minute change or an unexpected hiccup, we know it will all come together in the end.

We hope these tips help you feel more prepared and less stressed during your own wedding planning. We’re so excited for the big day and can’t wait to celebrate with all of you! Here’s to staying relaxed, enjoying every moment, and making memories that will last a lifetime.

With love,
Alycia & Jevan
