Welcome to our wedding website! As we count down the days until our big celebration, we wanted to take a moment to share some behind-the-scenes details of how we’ve been planning our dream wedding. It’s been an exciting, busy, and sometimes overwhelming journey, but with each step, we’ve grown more and more thrilled to celebrate our love with all of you. The Beginning: Dreaming of the Day
Like many couples, we started by talking about the kind of wedding we wanted. We both agreed that it had to be a celebration of our personalities, our love story, and everything that makes us who we are. After all, our wedding is about us, so we made sure to include meaningful touches that reflect our journey as a couple.
We knew from the start that we wanted a wedding that was elegant but not stuffy, fun but not chaotic, and most importantly, a day where everyone felt like part of the experience.
Finding the Perfect Venue
The venue search was one of the most exciting (and stressful!) parts of the planning process. We wanted a space that would fit our vision—a place that offered both beauty and flexibility, and that would allow us to create a day that was uniquely ours. After visiting several venues, we finally found the one that checked all the boxes.
From breathtaking views to impeccable service, the venue has everything we could dream of—and more. The best part? It’s a place where we can both get ready together and where our families can mingle comfortably, creating an intimate atmosphere right from the start.
Color Palette and Theme
Picking our wedding colors was a fun but tricky task! We had so many ideas, but eventually, we decided on a timeless and romantic palette of soft neutrals and a touch of rich jewel tones. Think ivory, blush, gold, and a hint of deep emerald green to add a pop of elegance.
The theme we chose is modern romance with a hint of vintage charm. We’ve incorporated elements like delicate lace, antique-inspired decor, and modern florals to create a space that feels both classic and contemporary.
The Dress & Attire: The Hunt for the Perfect Look
Alycia’s search for the perfect wedding dress was a whirlwind of excitement and a bit of frustration—until she found the one. From the moment she slipped into that gown, we both knew it was the perfect fit (literally and figuratively). It’s a blend of elegance and modern design, and we can’t wait for everyone to see it on the big day!
As for Jevan, he knew he wanted a sharp and sophisticated look, but something that felt comfortable and allowed him to move freely throughout the day. After trying on several suits, he found the one that felt just right. He’ll be looking pretty dashing, if we do say so ourselves!
Catering: A Feast to Remember
One of our main priorities was making sure the food and drink were top-notch. We wanted a menu that felt indulgent yet approachable, with a mix of flavors that our guests would love. We worked closely with our caterers to curate a spread that includes a variety of options, ensuring there’s something for everyone—from fresh, seasonal appetizers to decadent desserts. And of course, no wedding is complete without an incredible signature cocktail!
Personal Touches & DIY Details
What truly makes a wedding feel special are the personal touches—and we’ve been busy adding them! We’ve designed custom invitations, created unique table settings, and planned a few surprises that will make this day even more memorable. Alycia even crafted personalized wedding favors for each guest, which we can’t wait to share with you all.
We’ve also written our own vows, which has been an emotional and beautiful experience. It’s a special part of the ceremony where we’ll speak from the heart, and we can’t wait to share these words with each other (and with all of you!).
The Countdown
As we approach the big day, we’re filled with excitement, gratitude, and a little bit of nervousness. The planning process has been a whirlwind, but we’re so thankful for the support of our family and friends. From the vendor recommendations to the brainstorming sessions, it has all come together in ways we never imagined.
